So I got an USB-63 cable from and I've just run "./usbPortCheckerThingy.sh" in one shell window before plugging it in, and again in an adjacent shell window after, so I could see what to change in the settings for .

THE HOPE is that rigctl will use one cable, flrig will use the other, and they will peacefully coexist.

Update.

The FTdx3000 does not communicate AT ALL on the CAT port that is not the one currently selected in Menu 037.

HOWEVER, I can have 037 set to RS232C, start CQRLOG (which starts rigctl talking to the rig over that cable).

THEN change 037 to USB, start flrig, start fldigi, and do whatever I'm gonna do there.

THEN stop fldigi & flrig, switch 037 back to RS232C, and resume SSB ops (probably) with CQRLOG.

This may solve my POTA hunter problem.
