Muro deGrizeco :toad:<p>More experimenting with the QDX: </p><p>I told WSJT-X to listen for FST4W on 600m, and it works.</p><p>Decoded a few stations!</p><p>Just RX only, since I can't tune the antenna for those bands, and I have no idea if the QDX would want to TX on those bands safely.</p><p><a href="https://toad.social/tags/qdx" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>qdx</span></a> <a href="https://toad.social/tags/qrp" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>qrp</span></a> <a href="https://toad.social/tags/FST4W" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>FST4W</span></a> <a href="https://toad.social/tags/hamradio" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>hamradio</span></a></p>

Muro deGrizeco :toad:<p>Looking at the radio computer. Debian 12 upgrade clonkered shared libraries and broke built-from-source WSJT-X software. </p><p>No problem. I'll move aside the /usr/local/bin/wsjtx binary, and default to the packaged version. </p><p>Ooo, which is more recentful!</p><p>Any higher freq FST4W activity? Yes, on 20m! Supposed to suck there, because long tx with wiggly band behavior works poorly.</p><p>Well, I can't put up a 2200m quarter wave vertical, can I? Ha! Nope!</p><p>So I will squeak on 20m.</p><p><a href="https://toad.social/tags/hamradio" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>hamradio</span></a> <a href="https://toad.social/tags/FST4W" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>FST4W</span></a> <a href="https://toad.social/tags/linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>linux</span></a></p>
